Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc our mission statement sums up our financial beliefs as well as our goals:
"Our education mission is to motivate and influence all
who have the desire to learn about personal finances."
Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc has been in the financial services industry since 2006. Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc has educated thousand of households about their personal finances. Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc is fully aware of the financial stress in people’s lives. Witnessing major corporations’ lack of empathy for their employees’ daily financial struggles, we saw the need for more basic, easy-to-understand financial education. Our nonprofit Board of Directors is motivated to forward the mission of financial education to all who have the desire to learn.
Our opinion is the finance industry is not about the wellbeing of their customers, but about profits and product sales. The Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc also realizes that many well-known financial media personalities are entertainers and book authors; most have never really counseled people. This became a motivator to bring real information that truly impacts the daily lives of people and their household finances. The President of Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc Phillip Day, a financial counselor, public speaker for many years, as well as hosting a live financial radio show has seen the finance industry from many sides. Phillip has self-publish several books on consumer finances and trained financial counselors, counseled teachers, bank managers, CPAs, and many professionals from all walks of life. From this experience he has developed a series of educational materials to help all who have the desire to learn. The Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc offers these books and other financial education materials at www.academyoffinancialliteracy.net one of our education websites.
Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc focus is on the basics of household personal finance. Our intent is not to have all the answers, but to motivate, to influence change, and to be a valuable resource for you to learn how to implement the basics of financial literacy.
Academy of Financial Literacy, Inc a 501 (c) 3 company.
